We all really enjoyed setting up our "patio" during the Club Fair.  Thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit!

The winners of the April 2009 "Hats Off To Spring" Raffle luncheon enjoyed an amazing brunch, provided by the Gutsy Gardeners, as seen in the video below

A message  from Corinne Koelsch, our club president
A message to all Oasis residents from Corinne Koelsch, our club president:

The Gutsy Gardeners began their first beautification project on Thursday April 17 with the delivery of the fountain and urn-shaped pots. Friday morning starting at 7:00 a.m. as our volunteers awaited delivery of truck-loads of plant material, boulders plus rocks and soil amendments. Approximately 18 people helped on site, others by providing sandwiches, snacks, and water. Most of the group went home by 5:30 but some stayed into the evening.

We were back on Saturday very early to complete the project. On both days Oasis homeowners driving through gave a "thumbs up" for the good work. We all appreciated this. At around 5:00 p.m. we were able to break open champagne and have a party to celebrate our efforts and results. We are so proud and happy with how everything turned out and the marvelous support from so many people. Club volunteers will continue to maintain our new plants to ensure proper fertilizing, snail and rabbit control, trimming and seasonal planting of colorful annuals.

We already accepting donations for upcoming projects. Look for the light blue t-shirt team with our logo for our next project. Watch out for the sign telling you "Gutsy Gardeners Beautification Project in Progress".

Well, some of our plantings did not do well in the soil (more like rock!) at the Front Gate.  So, of course, it is the Gutsy Gardeners to the rescue!   To see us in action, click on the arrow.
